Every member is identity-verified, but a real photo and a passed ID check aren't a substitute for your own good judgment. Here's what we require of every profile, and what we recommend as you get to know a match.
Our photo requirements
Every member uploads 5 photos before their profile is complete: 1 headshot, 2 full-length photos, and 2 more of you in flattering, everyday moments. JPG or PNG, at least 600×600px so it looks sharp, up to 5MB each. Every photo goes through automated content screening, and every profile is identity-verified against a government ID before it's visible to any other member. If you ever see a photo that concerns you, contact us and our team will review it.
Before you meet
- Confirm your match has completed identity verification — every active profile has, but it's worth a look at their verified badge before you make plans.
- Keep the conversation in-app for as long as you're comfortable — use in-app chat and voice/video calls rather than sharing your phone number, home address, or other personal contact details early on.
- Never send money, gift cards, or financial information to a match, no matter the reason they give — this is one of the most common scams on any platform, and we will never ask you for this on someone else's behalf.
Meeting in person
- Meet for the first time in a public place — a café, restaurant, or other populated venue — never at a private home.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be back.
- Arrange your own transportation to and from the meeting, so you're never dependent on your match to get home.
Reporting a concern
If a member's behavior makes you uncomfortable, violates the guidance above, or seems fraudulent, contact us with their username and details — our team reviews every report. If you're ever in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
