Destined Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect
To create an account and be matched, we collect: your name, email address, date of birth, gender, country of origin and residence, and marriage timeline; the profile photos and questionnaire answers you provide about your faith, family plans, lifestyle, and personality; the identity-verification information (government ID and a live selfie) you submit through our verification provider; and, if you subscribe to a paid tier, billing information handled directly by our payment processor.
2. How we use this information
We use your information to operate the matchmaking service: verifying your identity, computing and delivering your weekly matches, enabling chat and calls with an accepted connection, processing payments, and communicating with you about your account. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Who processes this information
We use a small number of service providers to operate the platform: an identity-verification provider to process government ID and selfie checks; payment processors to handle billing; an email delivery service for account and match notifications; and a messaging provider to power in-app chat and calls. Each processes your information on our behalf, under their own security and confidentiality obligations, and not for their own independent purposes.
4. Who sees your information
Your profile photos, questionnaire answers, and public display handle are visible to other identity-verified members you're matched with, subject to your subscription tier's photo-visibility limit. Your legal name, date of birth, email address, and identity-verification details are never shown to other members — they're used internally and by our verification provider only.
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, and to object to how we use it. You can update most of your profile directly from your account, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.
6. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you deactivate your account, we retain your information only as long as needed for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or anonymize it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and notify members of material changes by email.
